Michael Barker - Vocals and Guitar


Michael’s musical career began at an early age, writing, performing and touring with successful Melbourne bands:

• Back Alley

• Khe Sanh - The Aussie Chisel - Barnes Show

• Glory Days - The Springsteen Show

His guitar work and powerful vocals add a true 60’s authenticity to the sound of the The Substitutes.







Pete Robinson - Vocals and Bass


Founder and leader of one of Melbourne's most successful 60's pop bands: "The Strangers", Pete's musical career
has included musical director/arranger/ at Channel 10 and Channel 7.

Musical director for Olivia Newton John, Diana Trask, and the television and live version of the Go Show.

Recording producer/engineer/ arranger with for over 50 top ten records for artists like: Lyn Randell, John Farnham,
Russell Morris, John Williamson, Ronnie Burns, Lionel Rose, The Town Criers, The Virgil Brothers, Buddy England,
Merv Benton and Ronnie Charles.

He was arranger and conductor for the lush orchestrations on Johnny Young’s “All my Lovin’”, the Russell Morris classic
“The Girl that I Love”, and Ronnie Charles’ "Katy Jane”.

In 2015 Pete was presented with a Logie, and inducted into the Rock Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.



Peter Reed - Drums


Peter Reed was the drummer of 60's band "The New Dream", having a national #1 hit with "Groupie" in 1969,
and a Top Ten hit with "Soft Delights”.

He began his career as Drum Corps in the Army, and later became a drum teacher at Drum World.

To quote Gary Young of Daddy Cool fame: “As a Drum student, I don't think I've ever been pushed to do anything
in my life that required so much resolve and concentration.”

Adrian Scott - Vocals and Keyboard


 

Adrian has performed and recorded with Air Supply (founding member - arranging their early albums),
Jon English, Dragon (piano and string arrangements for O Zambezi album), Mark Williams, Brian Cadd,
Thelma Houston, Glenn Shorrock, Tommy Emmanuel, Debbie Byrne, Dannii Minogue, Bob Downe and
John Farnham.

He has toured the world with Kylie Minogue as her keyboard player and musical director and more recently
with The Little River Band.

He wrote a song that achieved the coveted Silver Medal at the World Popular Song Contest in Tokyo,
and is known worldwide as a sound designer for Roland Musical Instruments
